People you meet on the road

"Why is it so easy to connect while being on the road?"
You met someone. She is a traveler too.
You don't know her but somehow you instantly ‘click’.

You hear stories from her about how she hiked the mountains of one of those warm and humid locations, which name you couldn't recall. How she got lost in London. How she took the wrong bus and ended up in a small city, in the wrong direction.

And you laugh

You tell her how you fell in love with an exotic fruit drink you tried on a street shop. How you got lost in Madrid, trying to take a shortcut from the beach, but ended up walking 5 kilometers back.

She is a complete stranger to you. You don’t know her story and she doesn’t know yours.

But she understands you. She also knows the feeling of being away from home. Knows the feeling of being uncomfortable. The struggles of being on the road and the feeling of independence what comes with it.

She is like you.

You notice the easiness to connect with someone while traveling. While exploring the world. You find people like yourself, with the same passion for life, for exploring.

The same thirst for adventures.

You walk away with a smile. You didn't exchange contacts, but it's okay. You know she's out there, doing her thing. She's continuing her path to the unknown.
